The Graphite Set

Wednesday 16th October 2013
Show: 7:30 PM Doors: 7:30 PM

The Lexington | 96-98 Pentonville Road, London, N1 9JB, United Kingdom

Launch gig for new single 'Grayson Perry'

Fans who came to The Graphite Set's sell-out Sebright arms gig in June will be impressed by the band's growth over the summer. The sound is now richer and more sophisticated, with Hugo Sheppard of Emperor Yes added on keyboards, and the new material is poppier, catchier and even more engaging without losing its psych edge. Lily Buchanan's highly distinctive voice remains the core of the sound.

Fans can expect to hear quite a few new songs, some being performed in public for the first time, some premiered at the band's successful show at the End Of The Road Festival at the end of August.

Stats will provide support. Led by Ed Seed, producer for The Graphite Set, Stats will deliver their trademark 'Office Funk'.

Also supporting are ADA
"Cool, intelligent, atmospheric pop gets you lost on London's late night city streets. Hauntingly beautiful PJ Harvey meets Kate Bush vocals soar above Interpol-esque reverbed guitars, Little Dragon tinged rhythms, and the best saxaphone arrangements since Baker Street."
